If you are looking for dog training equipment or specifically remote dog training collars online you may well find various makes and models available to compare and choose from.

The idea behind considering the use of a remote dog collar would be primarily to have a means of interrupting potential bad or undesirable behaviour from your dog whilst the dog is at too far a distance to be able to employ another means of dog control.

A remote dog training collar is generally activated by a hand held device which the owner or trainer will have in their hand. You may find that there are some remote dog collars which offer a selection of seperate settings or a combination of settings.

Remote Dog Spray Collars

With remote dog spray collars, the spray can be activated by hand held remote to interrupt the dog for a moment and distract the dog from what he or she was doing in order that the dog can once again be receptive to the commands and dog training techniques of it's trainer or owner. The idea of using a remote dog spray collar seems to be that of interrupting bad behaviour by distraction rather than punishing the behaviour.

Ultrasonic And Vibrating Dog Training Collars

Ultrasonic collars are another type of dog training equipment and are those collars which can emit a sound (ultrasound) above the levels of normal human hearing. With the remote ultrasonic dog training collars the collar would emit a frequency which would only be audible to the dog, the ultrasonic sound being the means by which to distract the dog at distance from any potentially bad behaviour or with anti bark collars the sound would be triggered by the dog barking.

Similarly if the remote dog training collar was a vibrating unit, once activated by the remote hand set the vibration of the collar would be the intended distraction for the dog.
